| The cousins parted company in New York and Petropoulos proceeded to Washington. Bel-Jon remained in New York for a brief time to continue his studies of museums and schools. He connected with his aunt Pepe Stamatiou and uncle ___ Zades; old friends from Greece like Nicholas Spiros; visited with his old crush Jane Richardson, now Jane Hanks, and her husband Lucien in Bennington, VT. Jane and Lucien were both noted anthropologists and taught at Bennington. Nicholas Matsoukas made arrangements for Bel-Jon to get a job painting scenery at Fox Studios in LA. |
