The mural was designed for George Christopher when
he was a City Supervisor.  He and Bel-Jon became
friends and Christopher went on to become a favorite
Mayor of San Francisco and later ran for Governor of
California.  He would assist Bel-Jon in bringing his
brother Achilleas to the US.

Christopher's sister, Helen Christopher, has been
instrumental in locating a number of Bel-Jon's murals
for his family.

The right panel of the school and hospital with
Bel-Jon's signature is now missing.
