Robert and Myrna Mackie were the Bel-Jon’s first neighbors in NY and they became lifelong friends.  The cross was created to commemorate Robert’s ordination.  Robert gave Bel-Jon’s eulogy and later officiated at both the Bel-Jon daughters’ weddings.
