About Bel-Jon Art Preservation Alliance

The Bel-Jon Art Preservation Alliance was formed in August of 2024 in response to the imminent threat of losing Bel-Jon’s seminal work, titled “Medical Research Through the Ages”, which was slated to be scrapped from its home of over 60 years in New York City. The urgency of saving this important work on a global scale is apparent for an artist with roughly a dozen large-scale works still extant out of a body over over 120 pieces.

Despite most members having been complete strangers to each other beforehand, a robust committee has been formed of preservationists, art historians, architects, engineers, artists, and experts in philanthropy. This force of varied perspectives is unified in purpose to explore the feasibility and funding necessary to perform one of the most significant–and largest–moves of a piece of sculpture in decades. The Bel-Jon Art Preservation Alliance is fortunate to have the resources in collaborating with organizations of high regard in the preservation field to further advocacy.

We welcome respectful inquiries and comments from the public.
